Nice tea room, the staff is super friendly and asks regularly for requests. Tea can be refilled for a small fee. The decor, especially in the back, is quaint. Many beautiful details are intertwined. We would be happy to come back.

Nice little café in the pedestrian zone of Esens. We had very delicious East Frisian tea from delightful old collecting cups. We sat at the window with a view of the two great street musicians. The service was very friendly. We felt comfortable and will definitely be back

We had a pot of Frisian tea as well as a baked potato with sour cream and a baked potato with sour cream and a small bowl of crabs from the menu of the day. Everything was tasty, even if it took quite a while and guests who came after us were served first. The shock came at the end: the invoice amount was just under 29.00 euros! Unfortunately, we only became aware of this great price on the way home. I am still annoyed today that we went into this cafe.

Lunch from the menu of the day (shrimp with scrambled eggs) and cake (grandma’s apple cake) were both delicious. Despite the large number of guests, the staff was calm and friendly.

Nice quaint shop. Delicious East Frisian tea. The owner / operator doesn't seem to be interested in tourists. She was very unfriendly and we never felt welcome. Pity!

Lovingly run tea room with real Frisian tea, delicious cakes, breakfast and fish sandwiches. There are very good services and tips for the region for free 👍🏻☺️

Simply good. We have fetched fish rolls here twice. But you should bring a few minutes with you, because the fish rolls are made fresh when customers order one. So they're not lying around and that's a good thing. I can only recommend. Herring rolls and matje rolls currently cost € 3.50 and salmon rolls € 4.90.

Very friendly and warm owners who quickly get a personal connection to their guests. The waffle was delicious and beautifully presented. In autumn I'm back in Esens and a visit to the Ostfriesenherz is already on the agenda. ❤️

This cafe can only be recommended. We had a very delicious coffee and the cocoa was also prepared at our request. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The wait staff is more than friendly and with nice street music it is easy to sit. We will always be happy to come back

Unfortunately the visit was not so nice. The staff was very reserved and unfriendly. The cake was below average. There are better cafes in the city.

We discovered the Ostfriesenherz by accident while cycling and had a nice, entertaining coffee and cake break. Everything was very tasty and the owner really nice and warm. If we are close again we will be happy to come back - until then good luck and greetings from Essen to Esens :-)

Very tastefully decorated. A must for everyone who visits Esens. Whether fish sandwiches, cakes or breakfast, everything is fresh and delicious here. Card payment is also possible.

Have a super delicious milk coffee today. The owners have told us that this fair trade is produced and that the milk comes from pasture farming. The whole thing was a great treat. The price-performance ratio is perfect. On the next visit, the homemade cake will also be tried. We were very, very happy.
